OUR SERVICES

Recording

Together with our clients, we aim to achieve world-class recording quality. Depending on the size of the session, we will book the appropriate studio. We also offer live recording and on-location recording services.

Mixing

We do the mixing in our own mastering studio. We can handle large sessions that have over 200 tracks and last for several hours. We offer both online and in-person sessions.

Mastering

We are a mastering studio certified by Apple as Apple Digital Masters. We perform most of our mastering processes using analog gear and also offer stem mastering.

About Us

PREMIER SOUND FACTORY started as a software instruments brand for music producers in 2000. Since then, we have also been involved in recording, mixing, and mastering, with bases in Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Boston, USA.

In 2012, Premier Engineering Inc. was established, and its founder and engineer, Ichiro, has released thousands of songs to the world, including CD albums, commercial songs, and game music. We have also provided stage sound for events such as fashion shows.

In a time of basic electronic instruments, a hyper-realistic electric piano library was created using our unique release-trigger system. This software instrument was announced in 2000 and received countless praises from producers and creators. PREMIER SOUND FACTORY was born at this time.

Our mission is to use the know-how we’ve been refining for over 20 years to capture the true energy and emotion of sound without missing a single drop.

The piano not only produces the sounds we imagine, but also a variety of other sounds. We believe that the “beauty” of the instrument consists of a miraculous balance of all these elements, including those generally perceived as noise. We should not casually change or organize these sounds according to our own arbitrary images or preconceptions, respecting the sacred realm of the instrument. By faithfully reproducing all the sounds emitted by the instrument, without any human intervention, we can revive the true beauty of the instrument in front of the speakers. This unique belief sometimes produces incomparable quality.

PREMIER SOUND FACTORY’s libraries sometimes record over 20 layers per key, and some percussion instrument has over 50 layers. All sounds are meticulously crafted by Ichiro, and we never compromise in our pursuit of the best possible sound under the Premier brand.

There were many difficulties along the way. Even if it took several months to produce, any unsatisfactory library was mercilessly discarded. We want to leave behind only truly wonderful sound libraries for the future, more than we care about our own business. Therefore, we cannot create many instruments in a short period of time.

Although we are only a small company with just a few members, several major electronic instrument manufacturers, whose sizes exceed ours by 100 or 1000 times, have adopted our sound. Professional creators from all over the world, crossing borders, passionately collect our sound sources. You can hear our Premier sound not only in Japanese anime but also in Hollywood and Broadway.

For us, hearing user voices from everyone is the greatest motivation.
